Logo Branding Guidelines
The Investors in People mark consists of the name positioned below the image of a garland.

To maintain the integrity of the mark, the configuration of the name and garland must not deviate from examples shown here.

The mark must never be redrawn or modified in any way. When reproducing the mark, always work with the master artworks.

To order the Investor in People logo please contact your local Investors in People Centre.

Choosing the correct mark
There are three distinct versions of the Investors in People mark, each serving a different and very specific purpose. It is important that you do not confuse them, and that the correct version is used.

The mark is a registered trademark and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

Misuse of the mark
The mark may never be used to imply endorsement of the services of a commercial organisation, even if they are recognised.

  • By organisations to publicise their accreditation
  • Under no circumstances should this mark be used by other companies or organisations, delivery partners and national strategic partners, unless they too have been awarded the Standard

This mark represents Investors in People UK, the company originally established in 1993 to be responsible for the marketing, development and quality assurance of the Standard. It should be used:

  • On Investors in People UK company stationery
  • To identify the authorship of publications and other materials
  • Under no circumstances should it be used by other bodies, including delivery partners, and national strategic partners

Exclusion zone
The mark should always have a minimum area of clear space around it. This exclusion zone is based on the height of the entire mark and is applied as demonstrated opposite.

The exclusion zone applies to all versions of the mark.

Minimum size
It is important that the name 'Investors in People' can be read in an optimum way, in large and in small sizes.

The mark should never be used smaller than the minimum sizes specified here.

Image, minimum size
The minimum sizes are measured by the width of the symbol

Standard size
In literature design there are standard sizes for the most commonly used print formats - A4, A5 and 1/3 A4 - which are specified here.
Image, standard size
For A4 brochures an 18mm width mark should be applied, and for A5 and 1/3 A4 leaflets a 15mm width mark.

Wherever possible the Investors in People logo should be printed in pantone colour 539 (Navy). The garland and the text should always be printed in the same colour. The other preferred colours are black on a white background, or reversed out in white. More information is available from the marketing team.
