The new approach
We’ve recently launched a new approach to working with the framework so you can tailor your assessment to your organisation’s unique business needs. As a result, all our support will be focused on your priorities, making the whole experience more relevant and meaningful. Your assessor will work closely with you to understand the needs and priorities of your organisation and agree how you can best use the Investors in People framework to meet your performance targets.
The jigsaw image below shows how our new approach works. We’ve selected ‘Managing Change’ for this example. However whatever your business issue is, it can now be at the centre of our work. The second ring represents The Investors in People Standard. If you want to work beyond The Standard, the focus areas you can choose are highlighted as jigsaw pieces.

Outcome-based
The beauty of the Investors in People framework is that it is outcome-based. It tells you what you need to achieve to meet your organisation's goals, but not how you have to achieve them. We recognise that every organisation is different, so the exact way you reach your end goal will depend on what’s best for your organisation.
