Employee engagement confirmed as key component of business success21/07/2009

Introduction

Publication
On Thursday 16th July 2009 The MacLeod Review of employee engagement issued its first report confirming the vital role that employee engagement plays in business success: it is a core component of effective leadership and management. It is also a fundamental element of the Investors in People framework, and independent research from Cranfield University has shown how working with the framework increases employee engagement, with a positive impact on performance.

Simon Jones, Chief Executive said “We are helping organisations of all types and sizes to improve their businesses. For example it was Investors in People that Sainsbury’s turned to help increase the levels of motivation amongst its people (click here for full case study). We are delighted that the support Investors in People offers to organisations throughout the UK is acknowledged within the report, and will offer the Macleod Review team any further support we can as it continues with its work.”
