Investors in People Centres 
The role of the IiP Centre
IiP Centres were launched in April 2001. Their overall remit, as defined by the DfES, is to offer Investors in People assessment and recognition services to organisations in their geographic or size band area and quality assure the process. They also have a key role in developing Investor in People Practitioners in their region.

There are currently 14 IiP Centres within the UK: 10 in England, one in each of Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the International Quality Centre. They are licenced and quality assured by Investors in People UK on an annual basis to deliver the services as previously described.
