How to become a Practitioner 
All the information you need about how to become an Assessor or specialist Adviser is contained in  the following PDF file - Practitioners in Practice.

Once you have read "Practitioners in Practice" please download our Information Pack for further information. 

Here is a very  brief summary of the  recruitment process for Assessors and specialist Advisers:

To become an Assessor, the only route in is via one of the Investors in People Quality Centres. Quality Centres manage all assessments and the Assessors who carry them out.

To become a Specialist Adviser, you will need to have existing clients with whom you can work during your development to gain the necessary practical experience. If you are employed by or linked to a delivery partner, they may well provide those opportunities for you– do check! If not, you should consider carefully before funding your own entry and development as a specialist Adviser.

What you will need to do:

Once you have read Practitioners in Practice and the Information Pack and you believe that you meet the necessary criterion and you wish to take your application to the next stage, you should:

The Quality Centre may wish to interview you if you are not going through any other selection interview process elsewhere.

Provided your Application Form suggests that you have the appropriate background to become a Practitioner, they will refer you to a Development Centre, these are run by Quality Centres.

You will receive feedback from the Development Centre and if you are successful, you will agree a personal development plan (PDP) with your sponsor and the Quality Centre. The PDP  will be tailored to suit your needs and background.

On successful completion of your PDP your Practitioner Developer will recommend that you should go for registration.
